COURT RECORDS SHENANDOAH COUNTY, VIRGINIA

  Know all men by these presents that whereas we BARBARA BOWMAN late BARBARA
DEISINGER and CATHERINE TREES late CATHERINE DEISINGER (now the wife of JOHN
TREES) both now resident in the County of Pickaway & State of Ohio being
children and heirs of PETER DEISINGER late of Shenandoah County Virginia
dec. -  and Whereas it appears by the last Will and Testament of the said PETER
DEISINGER dec. HENRY DEISINGER (also an heir & son of said PETER DEISINGER
dec.) being seized in fee of in and to all that certain tract or Parcel of
land situate in the aforesaid County of Shenandoah & State of Virginia (on certain
condition as specified in the said last Will and Testament of the said PETER
DEISINGER dec. and being known as the home place of the said PETER DEISINGER
dec. died seized of and now in the prosession of the said HENRY DEISINGER -
Now know yea that we the said BARBARA BOWMAN (late BARBARA DEISINGER) &
CATHARINE TREES, late CATHARINE DEISINGER, have made constituted & appointed,
and by these presents do make and appoint GEORGE DEISINGER of the County of Fairfield
& State of Ohio our true and lawful attorney for us and in our names, to
bargain, sell and convey unto the said HENRY DEISINGER all our right,
titles, property, claim and demand of, in and to the above mentioned premises
(of which we as lawful heirs stand seized of on certain conditions as set
forth in the said last Will and testament of the said PETER DEISINGER dec.).
Absolutely to convey as aforesaid in fee simple and for such price or Sum of
money as he shall think fit and convenient.  And also for us and in our names
to seal execute and deliver such deeds conveyances bargains and Sales for the
absolute Sale and disposal thereof, with such clauses, covenants and
agreements to be therein contained, as our said Attorney shall think fit and expedient -
Hereby ratifying all such deeds, conveyances, bargains or Sales which shall at
any time hereafter be sealed and executed by our said Attorney, touching or
concerning the premises above mentioned.
  In Witness whereof the said BARBARA BOWMAN & as aforesaid & CATHERINE
TREES & as aforesaid CATHERINE'S said husband (namely JOHN TREES) have here unto set
their hands & seals this 12TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 1834.

  Be it remembered that on the 13th day of September 1834 personally came
before me Henry Helzel & Thomas W. Morris Justices of the Peace in and for
said county, BARBARA BOWMAN, CATHARINE TREES and JOHN TREES and acknowledged the
signing & Sealing of the within Power of Attorney to be their act & deed, &
the said CATHARINE being by me examined separate and apart from her said husband,
and the contents made known to her, declared that she did voluntarily sign
seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith.  Given
under our hands and Seals the day above written.

  I Samuel S. Denny, Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas for said county
Certify that Henry Heltzel whose Signatures is affixed to the above certificate is a
regular acting Justice of the Peace in and for the County and State aforesaid,
duly commissioned and qualifies as such.  In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
set my hand & affixed my seal of office the 13^ day of September AD 1834.

  The Written Power of Attorney was returned to the clerks office of said
county on the 3^ day of October 1834 and admitted to record.

  This indenture made this third day of October 1834 Between GEORGE DEISINGER
of the county of Fairfield and BARBARA BOWMAN & JOHN TREES & CATHARINE his
wife of the county of Pickaway in the State of Ohio the said GEORGE, BARBARA and
CATY being three of heirs and Devisees of PETER DEISINGER dec. late of the
County of Shenandoah - of the one part and HENRY DEISINGER of the said county
of Shenandoah & State of Virginia of the other part.  Whereas the said BARBARA
BOWMAN & JOHN TREES and CATHARINE his wife by their certain letter of Attorney
bearing date on the 13^ day of september 1834 appointed the said GEORGE
DEISINGER their attorney in fact to sell and convey all their right & interest
of in and two tracts of land devised to the said HENRY DEISINGER by the last
Will of the said PETER DEISINGER dec. as by reference to the said letter of
Attorney will more fully appear - And whereas the said PETER DEISINGER (or
TEISINGER) by his last Will and Testament among other things devised to the
said HENRY DISINGER his heirs and assigns, all that part of his plantation,
whereon he then lived supposed to contain about two hundred and twenty acres,
also another tract of land behind buckhill said to contain thirty Acres with a
clause that if the said HENRY DEISINGER should depart this life without any
children lawfully begotten that then the said land should be sold and equally
divided among his children namely BARBARA wife to WILLIAM BOWMAN, GEORGE,
MAGDALENE & CATY wife to DAVID FUNKHOUSER to share and share alike - as by
reference to said Will now of record in the said County Court of Shenandoah
will more fully appear.  And Whereas the said HENRY DEISINGER not being likely
to have children and being desirous & willing to purchase all the Interest &
Claim which the first parties to these presents have or may hereafter have
under the said Will of PETER DISINGER dec. of in and to the above mentioned
tracts of land so devised as aforesaid.  This Indendure therefore Witnesseth
that the said GEORGE DEISINGER & BARBARA BOWMAN & JOHN TREES & CATHARINE his
 wife for and in consideration of the Sum Twelve hundred and Sixty dollars to
them in hand paid by the said HENRY DEISINGER the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged.  Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant
bargain sell release and confirm unto the said HENRY DEISINGER his heirs and
assigns all the said GEORGE DEISINGER BARBARA BOWMAN & JOHN TREES and
CATHARINE his wife, right, title, Interest & Claim of in and to the aforesaid two tracts
or parcels of land, which they now have or may hereafter have by virtue of the
said Will of PETER DEISINGER dec. whether in law or equity or otherwise, And
the reversion & reversion and reversions, remainder and Remainders, rents,
issues, and profits thereof.  To Have and to hold all and singular the
premises hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said HENRY DEISINGER his heirs
and assigns, to the only proper use and behalf of the said HENRY DEISINGER his
heirs and assigns forever.  And lastly that the said GEORGE DEISINGER BARBARA
BOWMAN & JOHN TREES and CATHARINE his wife for themselves and their heirs do
hereby covenant to and with the said HENRY DEISINGER his heirs and assigns
that they the said GEORGE DEISINGER, BARBARA BOWMAN & JOHN TREES and CATHARINE
his wife & their heirs all and singular the premises with the appurtanances hereby
sold and conveyed unto the said HENRY TISINGER his heirs and assigns against
them the said GEORGE DEISINGER BARBARA BOWMAN, JOHN TREES and CATHARINE his wife
and their heirs and all and every other person and persons whatsoever
shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.  In testimony
whereof the said GEORGE DEISINGER and the said BARBARA BOWMAN and JOHN TREES and
CATHARINE his wife by the said GEORGE DEISINGER their Attorney in fact
have hereunto set their hands & Seals the day and year as first herein written.
