In 1910, records were taken of burials in the Johnson graveyard. It was located on the S.G. Hunsicker farm at Williamsport (now owned by his granddaughter, Mrs Edna Newhouse) It was located on the back of the farm. Of the 17 stones in the plot eight were standing at the time. The others were scattered about. The burial ground took its name from Robert S. Johnson, who was 101 years old when he died.
Several of the family were buried there. In an inquiry from Mrs Newhouse she stated that she has a vague recollection that there was a burial ground on the farm, but had never seen it. She also stated that several persons had inquired about the graveyard, but she couldn’t give them any information. These are the inscriptions taken from the stones in 1910:
HOAGLAND – Jonathan, died February 4, 1875; age 66 years, 5 months, 20 days
HOAGLAND – Phebe, daughter of Jonathan and Mary Hoagland; age 4 months, 17 days
HOAGLAND – Jonathan M., son of J. and Mary G. Hoagland, died April 17, 1849; age 1 year, 6 months, 24 days
DUVALL – twin daughters of W. and M. Duvall; born April 10, 1854
MANLY - Mary Lucretia, daughter of Lewis and Rachel A. D. Manly, died September 2, 1841; age 1 year, 4 months, 8 days
FULLIN – William, son of C. and F.E. Fullin, died May 9, 1842; age 7 years, 3 months, 20 days
FULLIN - Alexander R., son of C. and F. E. Fullin, age 11 months, 15 days (no date given)
FULLIN – Ann, daughter of C. and F. E. Fullin, died August 19, 1839; age 1 year, 14 days
JOHNSON – Independence, son of R. H. Johnson; died December 24, 1875; age 6 years, 7 months, 6 days
JOHNSON – Aaron H., son of R. and M. Johnson, died March 2, 1862; age 16 years, 7 months, 6 days
JOHNSON – Douglas, son of R. H. and H. Johnson, died July 27, 1864; age 4 years, 4 months, 23 days
JOHNSON – Robert C. died November 7, 1875; age 101 years, 3 months;
JOHNSON – Infant daughter of R.H. and M.E. Johnson, died August 14, 1844
JOHNSON - Hetty L., wife of Robert C. Johnson, died April 2, 1835; age 50 years, 7 days
JOHNSON – Henrietta, wife of R.H. Johnson, died August 3, 1852 in the 44th year of her age.
JOHNSON – Hester M., daughter of J. H. and H. Johnson, died August 15, 1852 in the 2nd year of her age.
JOHNSON – Mary F., daughter of J. H. and H. Johnson, died August 1852 in the 6th year of her age
