His son, WILLIAM CRANK, JR. married ELIZABETH PRITCHETT in Circleville, Ohio in 1841. They had 4 daughters then moved to Illinois. I don't know if his father went with them or stayed in Ohio. I don't know the date of his death or place of burial.

I have George Bishop that was first in Pickaway County,(some say this is now Ross County, Ohio. George Bishop was born on December 13, 1823 at Pickaway County,(near Sandusky?) Ohio. When a boy he moved with his parents to Lafayette, Indiana, where: "Bishop, George - Service: Mexican War, Private, 5th Regiment, Company C, Fountain County. Mustered in 11 Oct 1847, at Madison, Indiana, by Lieutenant Rodman, mustered out 28 Jul 1848, at Madison, Indiana, by Major H. A. Goff. Source is Indiana in the Mexican War, Oran Perry, 1908. Then George Bishop married Rachel Skeels (her second marriage; 3 Dec 1849 in Putnam Co., IN). Rachel had a son Truman Skeels who was 10 yrs in the 1850 Iroquois Co., IL census. I have heard from others her maiden name was BROCK. Rachel was dead by 1860. They had a son, Charles who was born in 1858 who I'd like to know more about. Does anyone know anything about this couple? George married Mary Esabella Cady in Iroquois County, ILL. I have their marriage date as January 13, 1959. According to his obituary, the couple left Illinois and ended up in Custer County, NE. This is what it says: They moved to Iroquois County, Illinois, where he enlisted in the Civil War in August, 1862, in Company D, Vol. Inf. 113th Regt., and was discharged on June 20, 1865 at Memphis, Tennessee. In 1880, they (George, Mary and family) came from Illinois to Broken Bow, Nebraska, where he long has farmed. The obituary says nothing of Truman Skeels. It lists son of Rachel and George, Charles, living in Colwich(?), Kansas. Does anyone know where this might be? The 'h' could be a 'k'. I don't know what county in Kansas this would be located? I'd like to find living family from these lines.

Searching for information to exchange on DUVALL & BURGET families of Northern Pickaway Co, OH. Specifically I'm interested in two DUVALL men who married BURGET girls. Specifically, Andrew DUVALL's (he b.abt.1819) 2nd wife was Sarah BURGET, who married in the 1850s (his 1st wife was Cynthia LOVE). Also William DUVALL (b.abt 1816) married Jane BURGET in 1846. I believe these BURGET women were sisters to Julia Ann BURGETT who married Peter STUCKEY 1858. All these marriages were in Pickaway Co. Sarah & Andrew DUVALL lived near St. Paul. William & Jane were also in Northern Pickaway Co. Julia & Peter STUCKEY moved to Piatt Co, Illinois about 1865. Would like to connect all the various early 1800s Duvall families and Burget members. I cannot find parents for the BURGETs, but there were other Burgets in the County also during the same era.

Looking for Peter Specht, born 1782 or 1760 in PA, died 8 April 1852 in Washington Twp, Pickaway Co. Wife Margaret Jones, b. 1776, possibly PA, died 27 June 1830 (although again, different recods have her death 1830, 1835, 1836, 1840. They possibly had 10 children. I think my dates are wrong, or he might have remarried after wife's death? first child I have is Sarah Specht, b. 1805, PA(married Samuel Roadarmer) next child I have found is Hanna Specht, b. 1819, PA. There is a large age gap. Other children: Eliza, b. 1823; Judith 1824; Jonas 1830; rebecca 1829; Ann and Catherine, no dates. Either I am missing a bunch, or some of these children are from a possibly second wife, or I have two Specht families mixed together. Also, if Peter was born in 1782 and Margaret in 1776, would he be a little young for her for that time period? If he was born in 1760 as family records suggest, he would be 16 years older, enough time for a first wife and children. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks for your time!
