My great-great grandfather was John J. Bell, born in Pickaway County. I obtained his Civil War pension file from the National Archives. It contained documentation of both his marriages, and birth records for all his children with his second wife. He enlisted as a Private in Company I, 4th Regiment Iowa Cavalry Volunteers, Winterset, Madison Co, IA. He was discharged as a Sergeant at St. Louis, MO due to disability resulting from heart disease due to Typhoid Fever. He died in 1878 and is buried in Moffitts Grove Cemetery in Guthrie County, Iowa. All, I'm searching for hte parents and siblings of a William H. Martin who married Alice Holcomb in Fayette County 1 Jun 1882. I believe he lived in Pickaway County near Williamsport. Old tombstones found on family farm with names of Elizabeth and Rebecca Skinner, date noted on stones both 1816 or 1818. Rebecca was the child and was abt 5yrs at time of her death. Cannot find marker for the father. Does anyone have any knowledge? There were found in Pickaway Twp., Pickaway Co. The stones had been leaning up against fence, no idea where actual graves are.

I am looking for information about my great grandparents who lived in Circleville in Pickaway County. My great grandfather was the son of William ROUNDHOUSE (b. abt. 1845 and d. August 17, 1915 in Pickaway County) and his wife, Anna VALENTINE (birth and death UNK). My great grandfather's name could have been John, Andrew, or Henry Roundhouse. William Roundhouse was an immigrant from either Holland or Germany (Wittenberg) in about 1866. Anna Valentine was one of eleven children of William Valentine (of Pickaway and Vinton Counties) and his wife, Lydia (Rollins) Valentine. My grandmother was Nellie Roundhouse, born July 27, 1898 -- it is information on her parents (? Roundhouse and Anna Valentine) that I would really appreciate help with! Thanks!

Searching for George Bower(s) who was born about 1850. He was married to Evaline Levi in 1874 and resided in Adams Co. Ohio where he had 1 child named George.
