An album of old unidentified family pictures just surfaced, but one is of a young girlin a long black dress standing by a very ornate chair. It has this label by it: From HADDOCK's PHOTOGRAPHIC GALLERY, over Rutter, Wolfley and Rain's Hardware Store, CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO. Would like to date this picture by by these known facts. I did find a reference on this website to this hardware store in the diaries of Stephen Kinnear: "Mon 24 August, 1863 Lesley at Circleville today. Self and wife received of RUTIN WOLFLEY and RAUN $105.00 sent me by Albert by the hands of Capt. Raun. Paid Rutter Wolfley and Raun in full $63..." The young girl may be a Bohner, Dowdy, Miesse, Ticer, Voss or otherwise. If anyone has found references to these surnames, please let me know. Thank you for your help. Please e-mail me if you have information on this!
