MILLAR posted by Mary Ann Klein ,at Email: maklein@bright.net , on Friday, November 1, 2002

I believe the obituary for Georgie MILLAR, son of Taylor Millar dated 8/11/1888 is incorrect. I believe his age was 11 mo. According to my information, he died as an infant. He had siblings who would have been listed if he was 11 years old and the obit says he was the only child.

BARNES posted by Pat Zielinski ,at Email: paziam@aol.com , on Sunday, November 24, 2002

Looking for information for a David Lenox Barnes and wife Margaret... I believe Margaret's maiden name was Sharon/Sharron.... They married in Pickaway County in 1841... Census Record for 1850 Pickaway County shows they had following children: John L. George P. Charles E. Joseph David and Margaret moved to Fayette County, OH by the time 1860 Census were taken... They had the following children listed in 1860.... John L. 16 George 15 Charles 13 Joseph 10 William 6 Catherine 3 Henry 2 Flora 2 mos Have not found them in the 1870 Census available on line but suspectit may have been missed during copying.... By 1880 Census the only additional child that was listed was James born 1862.... I received information from a researcher of John L.'s line that David Barnes was from Pa, do not have his father's first name but his mother is listed in family documents as Katherine Miller...Would like to find any brothers or sisters of David that might have come to Ohio also..... David was born in 1819 in Pa.... Also I believe David and Margaret had the following children who died young..... Listed in Christian Cemetery in Williamsport are the following: Alwilda M d. 21 Sept 1855 age 2y 1m Laura d. 17 Nov 1852 age 11m 13d Lenox S. d 8 Apr 1843 age 1y 5m 28d They are all listed as children of DL and MJ Barnes.... If you know of this family or have a connection would love to hear from you.. I have information to share..... Pat (Barnes) Zielinski

According to his Civil War Pension file, John J. BELL was born in Pickaway Co, OH. He married Sarah Ann KELLEY on Dec 10, 1841. I have reason to believe that he may be the son of Abner BELL who also resided in Pickaway Co, OH in 1830 and 1840. My BELL family immigrated from Ohio to Iowa.
