RANKE, RAY, WILKINS posted by Jonni Lynch ,at Email: lilyj73@hotmail.com , on Thursday, January 23, 2003

My Great Grandmother, Theodocia Wilkins (later RANKE) lived in Derby, Pickaway County, Ohio at the turn of the century. She married and moved to Grove City, Franklin County around 1918. She had 2-3 brothers, and a baby sister named Hazel. Her mother's name was Elnora (or Eleanora) Ray, but noone remembers her father's name. I am interested in finding more about the two families--Does anyone know where they came from before Derby? What type of town was Derby? Additionally, I wondered about my Great Grandfather Herman Ranke-was this a surname local to Pickaway County? I really have had trouble finding info on it. Thanks!
