Searching for descendants of the KELLSTADT and BAUER (later spelled BOWERS) families who immigrated from Germany in the mid 1800s and settled at Circleville, Pickaway Co., OH. Jacob KELLSTADT immigrated ca 1840, b. 27 Apr 1815 in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany, d. 17 Feb 1904, Circleville, md. 13 Feb 1845 in Circleville to Rosina Elizabeth BAUER (Bowers), b. in Baden, Germany, d. 1898, in Circleville. Rosina BAUER's parents were Jacob and Rosa BAUER. Jacob KELLSTADT's mother was Mrs. K.M.S. KELLSTADT, d. 15 Feb 1872 in Circleville.

Married 3/22/1866, McDonough Co., IL, to HALL, William, b. 9/1/1841 Ross Co., OH, d. 10/10/1879, New Salem Twp., McDonough Co., IL. Children: Margaret Elizabeth (1/25/1867-1958); Frederick Orin (7/22/1868-3/19/1925); Almeda (7/28/1871-4/27/1899); and Susie Lena 1/10/1877-11/12/1913). Lydia's parents were Jacob Sierer Reedy, b. 11/26/1806, Union Co., PA, d. 4/14/1880, IL, and Elizabeth GEBHART (Gephart) b. 1805 - in Pickaway or Ross Co., OH or PA?, d. 1885, IL. Were Jacob and Elizabeth married in Pickaway or Ross Co.? Jacob Sierer REEDY'S mother was Catherine SIERER, b. 1817, wife of Jacob REEDY. Jacob was buried in PA but Catherine is not. Is she buried in Ross/Pickaway Co.? Much of this info comes from Ross County, Ohio Families, Vol.II. Family information is that the Reedy family lived in Pickaway Co., OH, 1832-1856.

Researching James RAMSEY born 1832, married 1857 in Pickaway Co., to Mary Jane BAGGS. Possible father Samuel RAMSEY died 1852, and possible grandfather, John RAMSEY died before 1820 in Perry Co., leaving widow Elizabeth. Papers of James, Samuel, and John all mention Adams Co., Penna. Looking for father of Judge William McArthur, b. 13 Feb 1793 @ Botetourt Co VA, m. (1) Elizabeth BLUE (2) Margaret ELY@ Circleville, 17 Jul 1823; William apparently was in Rev. War, was a Methodist, and d. in Circleville 11 Feb 1852 after being kicked by a mule or horse on the corner of Chillicothe and Mount streets in front of the Pickaway House (hotel) where he was taken to die. Supposition is that his father's name was John and may have resided in Ross Co. Margaret Ely's father was John Ely, who married Catherine DRESBACH ( or DREISBACH ).William also may have had a sister, Rebecca. Will exchange inf. Looking for ancestors and descendants of Henry McKinney B. abt 1792 M.(mar. by William Florenie JP, Ohio) Sarah Lewis, b. abt 1798 (Book of Ohio Marriages, Census 1840,Jackson Twp.). Henry served in the Ohio Militia in the War of 1812. Was he born in Scotland, Virginia or Ohio? His son was Jonathan McKinney who Married Martha BRILEY, son of Jonathan and Martha. Also Jerome McKinney who married Johanna MYERS. All were from Pickaway Co. I have a great deal more information on Henrys decendents.
