Her parents according to her death Certificate are Jaccheus MCCONNELL and Anna PHIPPINS. I need help according to the death cert. the parents were both born in Pennsylvania...Help.

Frederick and Phebe TRAVIS WELKER are called Pickaway County natives in Allen County History and reportedly emmigrated around 1860. However, they are in the 1850 census of Auglaize County Ohio. Son James says Frederick was born in Germany in the 1850 census. The name of Sarah WEISSEE has been mention as his wife also by descendants. Frederick and Phebe had nine sons.

Charles DURYEA is listed as an early resident of Walnut Twp. in Pickaway County. I do not know for certain that he is related to me. My g-g-g grandmother's name was listed in WV marriage records as Anna DEA when she married Benjamin ROLSTON. However, a Charles Dyane (sic) lived next door to THEM in WV and and the Rolston's also lived for several years in Walnut Twp. The fact that one of their sons (my g-g grandfather) was named Charles DURYEA Rolston lends more credence to my suspicions. Would like to correspond with anyone that has any knowledge of the DUREAS or ROLSTONS.

Searching for info on paternal grandfather Luther YOUNG b.04/04/1875 d.03/1952. He was living outside Williamsport, OH at time of death. Married to Alma STEPHENS or STEVENS b. 09/30/1891 d. 08/1982. Date of marriage unknown. He died just months before I was born. All I know of him is he played the banjo, which has remained in family and is in my possession.

Joseph died in Pickawy co 1859. 1860 census it shows Mary living wth Charles MARKLE age 37 with Mary's children Rufus age 12, Daniel age 9, Franklin age 8, and Mary E age 3. They moved on to Putnam Co. where son Samuel DEFORD married Eleanor HOOD circa 1837. Need more information on Eleanor HOOD and her family. Joseph and Samuel's families moved to Iowa by 1846, loose track of Eleanor by 1850. Joseph DEFORD and family moved to Illinois where he died in 1860. Samuel DEFORD and children moved to Oregon circa 1852.

My great grandfatther, Joseph DAVISSON, son of N. DAVISSON and M. LARRICH was born 12 Jun 1841 at Tarlton, Pickaway County and was a Sergeant Major in the 58th OVI during the civil war.He moved to Bloomington, IL after the war, having married Lucretia THOMAS of Tarlton.Their children included Harry D. and Mazie Jane DAVISSON. He married second to Mary B. CALVERT, Sep 1881. Their children were Carrie L and Clinton Joseph DAVISSON, the latter won the Noble Prize in Physics in 1937. His obit of 21 Dec 1906 listed suviving sisters: Mrs.J.C. CREAGER and Mrs. J.A. LISTENBERGER, of Bloomington and Mrs. George DIEST of Ft.Wayne, Indiana.

I was in an antique shop in North Manchester, IN and he had some old photos from Circleville Ohio. He gave me the photos to try to find the family they came from. He had bought our an antique shop in Ohio, and he had no idea who would want them. The names on the Photos are ROSE,DUGUITTE, and CORDRAY. His wife was "Mary", surname unknown. George & Mary COCHRAN had (2) two children: -- George Cochran (Jr.) born abt 1807 somewhere in Virginia. In 1833 he married Hannah WARD in Pickaway County, Ohio. He moved to Iowa about 1839. He married Susan GUNN. He died in 1887 in Linn County, Iowa. -- Nancy COCHRAN born about 1812 in Pickaway County, Ohio. She married William Franklin WARD. In 1857 she resided in the state of Washington. In 1896 she died in Clarke County, Washington. Abraham WARD (father-in-law to Nancy COCHRAN) was born about 1770 somewhere in West Virginia. He served in the war of 1812 (Ohio). By 1807 he resided in Allen County, Ohio. By 1833 he resided in Pickaway County, Ohio. -- William Franklin WARD was born abt 1807 in Allen County, Ohio. He married Nancy COCHRAN in 1830 in Allen County, Ohio. He died in 1864 in Linn County, Iowa. ANY information regarding these two families would be appreciated.
