To measure grain and corn in bushels ---- multiply the width and length together and that product by the height in inches, divide by 2150 ---- you have the number of bushels.

To measure corn in the ear ---- multiply the width and length together and that product by the height in inches and divide by 2815 ----the cubic inches in a heaped bushel. Take 2/3 of the quotient for the number of bushels of shelled corn. This is based upon the rule of giving 3 heaping half-bushels of ears to make a bushel of grain.
